Technical Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator is involved with all functions of a project team including supporting the product manager/product owner, engineering, quality assurance, and user experience design teams.

As a software consultancy, Synapse Studios builds large-scale custom web and mobile apps for a variety of clients across multiple verticals. The Technical Project Coordinator assists the development, design, and product teams in ensuring projects move efficiently and effectively toward its milestones.

The Project Coordinator is involved with all functions of a project team including supporting the product manager/product owner, engineering, quality assurance, and user experience design teams by performing the following critical team functions:

  • Communicate with all project stakeholders internally and externally to the organization the shared understanding of project goals
  • Assist the product manager by maintaining the product backlog, writing user stories, and coordinating issue management
  • Run team scrum events including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives
  • Facilitate team engagement using collaboration and communication methods and techniques
  • Oversee and manage scope, timelines, quality, goals, and deliverables that support product team goals
  • Prepare and present reports on project progress and wins
  • Strive to live the continuous improvement ethos and be passionate about project management techniques and agile methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Lean, Kanban, and others.

A strong candidate for our Project Coordinator role has exceptional attention-to-detail and is comfortable tracking and managing many competing priorities across several projects.

Additionally, you will excel in this role if you possess the following qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience managing projects preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage many competing priorities in fast paced environments
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex problems
  • Ability to thrive in a largely autonomous environment and follow through on commitments
  • A fast learner who can think on your feet if the need arises
  • Enjoys being a part of a collaborative, feedback-oriented team
  • Comfort with or willingness to learn agile project management tools such as Jira, Monday, and others
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum, and other project management frameworks
